Company Pays for 'Downsizing'

Welcome to National Guard Products in Memphis, where they pay you to lose weight - or 'downsize,' get it? Anyway, it makes a lot of sense, not just to help the employees of course (don't be silly!), but because it saves the company money on health insurance. But, the workers highlighted in this segment have obviously made the most of it.

Stripper Cop

Need a workout? Why not try Stripper Cop-cer-cising? It's a fun way to shed some pounds, and who knows, you could make a few dollars on the side. How can you go wrong with exercise moves like 'The Bomb Sniffah!' and 'The Up Against the Wall and Spread Em!'? Answer: you can't.

Classic Commercials: No. 8

LifeCall Medical Alarm
There's absolutely nothing funny about an old lady lying helplessly on the bathroom floor, desperately holding on to her walker, unable to get up. But in the 1990's, this exact image made a lot of TV viewers laugh -- partly because of LifeCall's campy ad for medical alarms, partly because of the bad acting. But nothing beats the catchphrase that made its way into mainstream culture.
Memorable Quote: 'I've fallen and I can't get up!'

Sexy Posters Seized From Mall

Police made off with some advertising posters from Abercrombie and Fitch recently and charged the store manager in Virginia Beach, Virginia with obscenity after he had refused to take them down. What did they show? Some kids cavorting scantily (well, as scantily as you can while wearing jeans). Apparently some people complained, and the usually bored 'poster police' were on hand within minutes. Wait till they hear about the checkout line at the grocery. Your tax dollars at work.

'Thriller' on the Tube

It takes a lot to drag people away from their morning paper -- even a group of people performing Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' dance can't get the attention of the commuters on the London tube. We love their bored indifference -- and the polite smattering of applause at the end. We're sure a few of them wanted to join in, but couldn't remember the moves.
