The longest running radio program in the good ol' US of A, the Grand Ole Opry is in many ways the home of country music, and the luminaries who have been part of the show is long and illustrious. And now the Nashville-based show has added Carrie Underwood to its list of members. See the former 'Idol' get the good news from Randy Travis and get all weepy at the honor.

4. Talk about living your dream!!! That was my dream as a little girl, singing on the Grand Ol Opry stage. I am so happy for her. Not everyone that sings on their stage actually gets inducted.

7. 1 Big mighty clap,too Carrie! Yippee Yi YAA! I don't hear anything so special about her! Ok her looks maybe paid her fee! My opinion,her and Faith Hill,are 2 different individuals,singing the same song type!!! My hands of approval go's more too like Sara Evans,Gretchen Wilson,Shania Twain,Aliason Krause! More so too Aliason! She's so talented! Actually most of these new comers,too Nashville! Male or Female suck! When it comes too my likes of Country! Most of it is all punk rock crap too me! "Big & Rich,Montgomery Gentry Suck!!!,Josh Turner,is ok! But pretty much a repeat of style,just a different song title! I don't even care for the music! And never even try too like it!!!!

8. I'm not a fan of country music, in general. But, this young lady is lovely, and really can sing. How refreshing to get away from all the glitz, noise, and studio tricks that hide lack of talent. She's as good performing live as she is in the studio. A rarity these days. I'm sure she'll prove to be totally worthy of the honor that she received from the Grand Ol Opry.
