A Republican state legislator named Sally Kern from Oklahoma has come under considerable pressure after some ill-advised, hyperbolic and dare we say inaccurate statements about the threat posed by the apocalyptic scourge of ... homosexuality. Leave it to Ellen to puncture the comments with a mix of seriousness, grace and humor. Watch as she calls to try to talk to the representative, who by the way says she isn't sorry and that she has received death threats because of the comments (though this is apparently a questionable claim). Oh, and she actually has a gay son herself. Bet he feels great about himself.

361. I do not support the gay agenda.
Homosexuals need treatment not talk shows.

362. Ellen you call us homophobic because we do not agree that haveing sex with a same sex partner is normal! We are allowed our opinions...and by the way it is not my opinion, but your creators opinion! Read these:
Gen 1:27..male and female he created (not male and male!)
Gen 19:4-11...men of Sodom wished to have intercourse with "men"=angels...Sodom then destroyed!
Leviticus 20:13...man lies down with a male the same as with a woman and it is detestable!
Rom 1:27...Men left natural use of women became violently inflamed with lust for one another working what is OBSCENE!
1 COR 6:9-10...& JUDE 7...Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah for HOMOSEXUAL practices!
AMEN

363. In a society that embraces homosexuality, which is the type of society that Oklahoma state Sen. Sally Kern mentioned, you will have incidents like this one. "But before they lay down(to sleep), the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round(about), both old and young, all the people from every quarter; And they called to Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee(your house) this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. And Lot went out the door unto them, and shut the door after them. And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof. And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow(Lot) came in to sojourn(live temporarily with us), and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee(Lot), than with them(Lot's guests). And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. That's from the Bible, Book of Genesis, chap. 19.

364. Heterosexual society is not afraid of homosexuals... not in the least.
It is the homosexual who is heterophobic because their behavior is abnormal when compared to heteros.
Heterophobic homosexuals know they are in need of treatment and resent heteros for being normal.

365. Does RacerX realize that Christians, who do read their Bibles, can find an account of an entire city's population of men, given over to homosexuality, on the rampage for Lot's house guests.--Genesis, Chap 19, verses 4-11, but you can read the entire chapter, then no one can say its out of context.

366. In fairness .... you just made my point, thank you. You do have equal rights under the law, until you start waving your flag. The hatred against gays is not always about the lifestyle. I personally do not care what you do in your own bedroom, but what us "breeders" dislike about "homo's" (fair is fair, but again libs won't like that I used the word homo) is that they must always push their sexuality into other people's faces. I DONT CARE AND DONT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT. Just because it's acceptable to you doesn't mean it's aceptable to everyone, and just as you believe you're right, I have the same right in this country to believe you are not right. My opinion is my opinion just as is yours. Don't try to force me to believe the way you do, it is my constitutional right to no have to belive in your lifestyle. What the problem is, is that liberals are trying to force us "breeders" and non gay-believers into thinking the way the "homo's do, and I'm protected under the Constitution to not have to be forced to believe in your lifestyle just as you are protected to not believe in mine. If you weren't then this wouldn't be a Democracy.

367. God Bless You Sally Kern!
May all our representatives be like Ms. Kern.

368. Lets take Ellen off the air and give her spot to Sally Kern.
I never watch Ellen anyway and would much prefer to hear what Sally has to say!

369. Homosexuality is a choice. It is also perversion. You can choose to be normal, or you can choose to be a pervert. It is your choice. There are only 2 places to check your gender, male or female. Think about it. Ellen Degeneres does not believe in the freedom to question the wisdom, or lack of it, in choosing to be a homosexual. The Senator speaks facts, listen to her again.

370. Hey..is it too late for this b****h to run for President??? She could get rid of all the Gay/Bisexual/Transgendered Americans that are ruining the country and leave the remainder of her Republican colleagues to run the world!
This lady sure has her right to her opinion but so do I..and my gay friends in Oklahoma do to! Hurry up and come November!

371. Praise the Lord for all the references to the bible! What would we do without all the continued hatred and bigotry you religious "experts" spout at society.

372. Gosh, now whose stance on homosexuality should I take to heart -- the Almighty Creator of the Universe? or a carpet-munching degenerate? I have zero doubt in this one, kids. Its a shame people cant see through the fog of all the political rhetoric of the gay agenda. Sodomites are headed for a very undesirable and long lasting punishment (last I heard, eternity is a VERY long time). Yes, the truth hurts, but it is -- and always will be -- truth.

374. Stephen Tareila--Yes I do know the story. I am a Nazerene Jew (a Christian Jew) and have been studying the Bible for over 40 years. Do you know the story? Obviously not because it was a myriad of sins and perversions that brought God's judgement on the people of S & G (not just the men by the way--women and children too. hmmm.) Oh, and technically Lot's guests were angels (who are neither male or female but, according to tradition, manifest themselves as male) so, ah, technically it was not really homosexual lust but just plain lust. Some things you may not understand that, as I said in and earlier post, only God has the right to judge, not you. In fact, God calls us to LOVE--UNCONDITIONAL LOVE--ALL people including gays and lesbians. The message of the Bible, God's Word, is LOVE and should never be used to support hate or even "intolerance". Get it?

375. hey mr brendan h, "attending videologist" (sure wish i could have a real job like his) -- you are part of the crowd always crying for "tolerance" and yet look how quickly you are intolerant and hateful toward Senator Kern. Sodomites want us to be tolerant of all their sexually deviant behaviors, yet have zero for people of faith, and zero respect for the very God who gave you life.
there is a mighty big difference between intelligence and wisdom. you can spew all the garbage you learned from your uppity colleges profs and feel all pumped up about yourself, but until you humble yourselves before God Almighty and realize your true purpose for being here, you will never have a shred of Wisdom. Its capitalized in the Bible for a reason. Better wake up while you still have breath, kids!
