Now we're not saying this is totally cruel - this cat may really love open doors on airplanes, heights, plummeting to the earth and being strapped to his owner's stomach - but we're just going to observe that the whole experience must have been really strange for that cat's little, little brain to process. We imagine it went something like this: 'food, water, play, scratch, sleep, food, water, play, scratch, sleep, food, confusion, terror, YEEOOOW!). It seems like the people had a lot of love for the cat - though we're not really sure what the point was - so we trust it was ok in the end. What do you think? Comment below ...

497. i, also being a cat lover, am deeply saddened by this. and enraged. why would a supposed cat lover do that to the cat? even if it survived, it would be traumatized for the rest of its life. it wont even want to jump off the front porch much less anything else that's higher than a foot. that cat should be taken to a foster home where its new owner wont make it ju7mp off a plane against its will. that man should be charged with animal cruelty and never be allowed to own any animal again. i pray that the cat survived and will be in a new home asap. shame on the owner and shame on those who enjoy this idiocy.

498. I think the majority is correct that jumping from a plane with a cat attached on one's stomach is not exactly the most itelligent thing to do.It amounts to animal cruelty.I could never do such a thing, being a animal lover myself.

501. The proof whether this cat was petrified would be in its harness. The flight response for many animals in fear for their life is to defecate in order to escape more quickly. If the cat was truly scared out of its mind it likely left a pile of feces behind. One can only hope it either flew into the face of the owner or left a powerful aroma for him/her to inhale. If everything was clean, then who can honestly say, without attaching some kind of brain monitoring device, kitty was scared. This calls for an investigation!
The sympathetic nervous system is known mainly for the way it mediates the stress response or what we sometimes call the fight or flight response.
If you want the technicalities - it makes the body first produce Acetylcholine and this makes the body produce Adrenaline. This primes the body for action, perhaps in the case of an emergency.

502. The man in the video should be charged with animal abuse and thrown in jail. (Would love to see the terrified look on HIS face when they slammed the jail door shut!). This served no purpose what so ever and was terribly cruel. So sad what some so called human beings find entertaining.

506. That guy/gal is a jerk, the cat should be taken away and a better home found. It is abuse for sure. An insensitive idiot like this should not be allowed to have any pets.

507. The whole group on the plane (from the pilot to the skydivers) are a pathetic group of individuals. The cat was defenseless and it was obvious that they had devised the harness in such a way that the cat could not get out (it's legs were poking out of individual holes) It probably took 3 people to get the cat in the harness. If this person rolled on landing, they surely broke one or more of the cat's legs. I hope the whole group is arrested for animal cruelty.

508. this man is psychologically impaired at best and cruel, mean, evil if not. That pitiful cat deserves rescuing by PETA or anyone that can find this person's home, if that poor little beast even survived the wind and terror and landing and didn't run away as fast as it could. How can someone actually do this and how could the person petting the cat before the jump look like they thought it was a good idea? Please help this cat!

509. you should never NEVER own an animal again that is very diturbing and for you to tape it you should be ashamed of yourself its a different story when you take your cat outside to enjoy fresh air but to strap him to yourself and jump out of plane??? WTF were you thinking i cant believe there are people like you in the world

510. I think that was a cruel act to do to any animal. That cat trusted them and they put it through unmentionable terror for their entertainment. They should be fined for animal abuse.
