Now we're not saying this is totally cruel - this cat may really love open doors on airplanes, heights, plummeting to the earth and being strapped to his owner's stomach - but we're just going to observe that the whole experience must have been really strange for that cat's little, little brain to process. We imagine it went something like this: 'food, water, play, scratch, sleep, food, water, play, scratch, sleep, food, confusion, terror, YEEOOOW!). It seems like the people had a lot of love for the cat - though we're not really sure what the point was - so we trust it was ok in the end. What do you think? Comment below ...

466. OMG, my heart pounding just watching the Kitty at the door of the plane kicking his little legs. I don't think the owner was trying to be cruel, just STUPID. I have saved over 15 cats over my lifetime & am down to 2 for now. I've taken them for car rides, the ones that enjoyed it, they would meet me at the car and jump in. It was their choice. That cat should have been facing it's owner so it's claws could let the owner know it didn't enjoy it. I think the owner was scared and need his/her cat for security. What was the outcome. I would like to know if the cat survived. That's a lot for it's little heart.

467. Really want to know if the cat survived. Does anyone know. And so true about the poor little thing not being fully protected. Especially it's eyes, legs, brain, body from pressure. When you see the way peoples faces move when they skydive. omg. gotta stop thinking bout it. Dawne

468. I pretty sure that was fake. If it wasn't, I want to beat the crap out of that guy.

469. People are idiots. plain and simple. Someone should remove that cat and place it in a good home.

470. That skydiver may be a pet owner, but is not a pet parent who truly cares about his furkid. He doesn't deserve to have any animals entrusted to him, and if there was ever proof of animal abuse, and of absolute disregard for the cat's feelings, this video should be tagged as evidence #1. Shame on that person doesn't even come close. I think justice--other than a ban from having animals for life, a huge fine, and jail time--would be to put him in a situation where he has no control and is totally terrified because something thinks that would be just the most fun and amusing thing in the world.

472. I've read most of the comments about the skydiving cat. Many people mention that they hope PETA will get involved. They won't unless they know about it. I went to PETAs website and read up on their policy regarding online videos. This is what PETA says:
Many abusers have been brought to justice after flaunting these crimes online. With your help, we will continue to put these abusers behind bars.
Regarding sites like Myspace and Youtube, please immediately bring any offensive videos to PETA’s attention by e-mailing us at Info@peta.org. We require a direct link to the video and to the poster’s Web page. Do not post angry comments, and do not complain to the social-networking or video-sharing site about the video, as it might remove the video before PETA has the opportunity to investigate. As a precaution, please download the video and save the Web page/user profile so that PETA can be sure to view both. After our investigation, we will petition the site to remove the video and delete the user’s account.

473. The right of a cats owner to do what he wants with his cat superceeds the cats right to decide what is done to it.
All of the comments I read on the first page (I didn't read any others) are from people who think a cat has more rights than it's human owner.
Ridiculous.

474. I just went back and read 4 more pages of comments. (It was only the last page I read before (not the first one.) There were 59 more comments opposed to this and only one for it.
Quadruple ridiculous.

475. Well, the cat doesn't understand that there's a parachute; he figures, he's going to DIE!!!!!! And, possibly, the parachute might not open!

476. I just saw the video...disgusting. That guy should be strung up...and why did the owner of the plane even allow that. I too think it was the wind at first but after he jumped the wind just pushes up against your chest...where that poor cat was...it could have crushed his little bones...do we know how the landing went? Did the poor cat make it...hope he scratched his owner's eyes out for doing that to him. Shame on the owner. I'm not a huge PETA fan but I hope they get this guy.

477. I am going to take the time and report this..I believe that this foul human being should have the cat taken away and should spend time in proson reflecting upon the cruelty he's put this poor creature through. Some people should not have the right to adopt animals.

478. I regret having seen that. The owner is guilty of animal cruelty. Obviously, the cat is terrified. Moron.
