On-Air Snark-Fest
Good morning, New York! We love a good clash of personalities to start the day off right. Watch and marvel as the on-location reporter and anchor exchange personal barbs for the world to see. Bickering starts at 1:00.
Can We Just Say: Uncomfortable!

76. I can't believe he said that to him. First of all, I think she said what she had to, we want the elevator fixed, and it is disrupting to have it done at 8 at night. She could reiterate the same sentiment, but come on, the woman was in her bathrobe, perhaps she wanted to go inside. I see that she would have spoken again, but what could she add? I think the field reporter was correct in asking exactly what the anchor would like to know. I have seen the anchor many times say "Jim, can you ask her _____". Completely appropriate. But to say, do you want me to teach you how to be a reporter esp when the man was his boss before. He was just a jerk. I hope they let him go.

77. The "Personality" or ANCHOR seems to have an attitude because he SITS behind the desk all day reading prompters and being prompted on what to say. I feel the reporter did his job quit well, but to argue on the air was uncalled for. We had an anchor in the Detroit market for YEARS that would challenge the reporters on t he field because he had a big ego and finally got fired...maybe this anchor is drinking on the job too...

78. For all non-New Yorkers:
I forget when this first aired, but Jim's been gone since 2005.
LET IT GO, PEOPLE.

80. JIM RYAN HAS BEEN GONE FROM NY NEWS FOR OVER 2 YEARS. I USED TO WATCH HIM ALL THE TIME. NOW I DON'T WATCH THEY REPLACED HIM WITH KEN AND BARBIE. THIS IS VERY MISLEADING AND IT MAKES ME QUESTION ALL THE OTHER STUFF THAT IS PUT ON HERE.

81. I WONDER WHAT EX EMPLOYEE IS NOW EMPLOYED BY THIS SITE AND HAS DECIDED TO GET EVEN WITH JIM RYAN BY PUTTING ANCIENT FOOTAGE ON TGHE WEB TO EMBARRASS HIM. RYAN WAS A GOOD REPORTER AND I WATCHED HIM FOR YEARS. I NOW WATCH CH 7 DUE TO THE FACT I CAN'T STOMACH THE ONES THAT REPLACED RYAN. JOHN ROLAND WAS ANOTHER GREAT REPORTER BUT THEY DIDN'T FIT THE BILL FOR THE NEW BROOM AND OUT THEY WENT.

82. I know Jim. He worked at this station for many years- more than 15 as I watched him for 15. He was always nice, cordial and polite- even jovial.
He and this guy often have little things like that and joke about it later.
By the way. Jim ( the anchor) and the lady who cam on afterwards- Ernabel Demilo, have not worked at Fox-5 for years now. This clip must be at least 7-years old.

83. This is very old tape, both of these men are retired.
They were both excellent at their jobs
I wish they were both back instead of the Ken & barbie dolls that we have today

89. Jim was totally wrong. He was nick picking on the on site reporter who has a reputation for many years. It's apparent that there is a long lasting bad blood between them from the time the reporter was his supervior. To let this happen on air was totally unprofessional and uncalled for. Clean your own laundry, and settle this matter indoors.

90. I know that the anchor could have been nicer, but the reporter was an idiot! He was asking the anchor what he should ask the people he's interviewing? Hello!
