On-Air Snark-Fest
Good morning, New York! We love a good clash of personalities to start the day off right. Watch and marvel as the on-location reporter and anchor exchange personal barbs for the world to see. Bickering starts at 1:00.
Can We Just Say: Uncomfortable!

46. I agree with eddy...the anchorman was Right...the reporter is just too old for this job and he got too defensive when the anchorman asked for more information..it could hav gone much better but the reporter wnated the last word, yet he was bettered by the guy in the studio.

50. Sorry I AGREE with the Anchor. He may have gone overboard on calling the reporter out like that. BUT the lady did have something to say, He cut her off almost in a dismissive way. unless the station is going to commercial break..THAT is bad business. I am not saying let it continue back and forth but it did sound like she had a response and was cut off prematurely. Thereby cheating the audience (mostly tenants) from hearing a rebuttal

51. Are you guys kidding me?? The reporter cut the elevator guy off...didn't even let him finish his sentence, never mind let the women respond! How can you effectively report on a topic when you won't even listen to what's being said? Why bother even putting it on TV? If I did my job the way that reporter did his, I'd be fired but quick...He should be ashamed that Jim had to intervene and try to get her rebuttal...thats the reporters job. If he did his job, Jim would have moved on

52. I wonder why the reporter didn't ask if there were any elderly or disabled people living in the building. Maybe he should have walked up the stairs and spoke to some other tenants.

53. Wow, some people say the damndest shiot. I would never say such a thing, I ALWAYS consider peoples feelings. Some A holes dont have the ability to think before they open their pie-holes. He and his company should be ashamed of themselves. If anyone must be taught anything, It should be the nerd behind the desk, on HOW TO NOT EMBARRASS PEOPLE IN PUBLIC.

54. That was pretty rude of Jim Ryan to say that to Dick Oliver. I always thought Jim was kind of pompous. Anyway, it doesn't matter since neither one of them are on the show anymore. That incident happened years ago.

55. What a self-important, sarcastic jackass!! A good solid punch in the face would wipe that smartass look off his face!! Sounds like self preservation at its worst!!

57. WOW......If I were the News Director...I'd shit-can that Anchor in a heartbeat! No IFS, ANDS or BUTS about it. Take about bad taste. What an arrogant prick! I don't care what it cost....his contract would be paid off and he'd be GONE!

59. UH OOOOH, tch tch tch, shame shame. Is this anchor off his meds or did his viagra not provide the needed lift he had been seeking. Maybe a little time in stress management class will straighten out his totally non-professional rude arse.
For a studio talking head to instruct in the place of producers, live on aire, is reprehensible. He is not there, on sight, and by the look of the building, the poor schnook sent to cover the oh so important story is the only one who should be calling the shots'
Jim-if you've a problem with that-a private chate behind closed doors, perhaps with management present would be the professional way to handle your personal vendetta against your ex-BOSS.
Or maybe these two could arrange a geriatric in the ring match, unscripted, close up and personal. What an arrogant rude yellow journalist.........

60. I really don't think the anchor was interested in the ladies response he just wanted to be an ass@#@$ and thought he could bully someone. He obviously has unresolved hostility toward the reporter but I don't think the viewing public needed to hear it. Yes, it is certainly a lack of professionalism. I think sometimes news anchors are too full of themselves (remember Dan Rathers)and need to be reminded that they can overstep their limits. I think its time he was retired.
