On-Air Snark-Fest
Good morning, New York! We love a good clash of personalities to start the day off right. Watch and marvel as the on-location reporter and anchor exchange personal barbs for the world to see. Bickering starts at 1:00.
Can We Just Say: Uncomfortable!

31. Jim, I think you were out of line!!! You really need to apologize not only to Mr. Oliver, but to the people as well. Jim is the one who needs some personaily changes.

32. This is actually a clip from years ago. And I am happy to report that Jim Ryan is no longer with Good Day New York. This wasn't the only time he acted this pompous on air. So glad he is gone.

33. Wow, that Anchor is very egotistical, and obviously, not very humble, and I would not be surprised if he is a Narcissist! I hope he gets suspended or fired. He leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And puts a 'damper' on all the other REALLY good anchors. Shame on him!!

34. The news anchor's name is Jim Ryan. The field reporter's name is Dick Oliver.

35. If I were his boss, the anchor would be dismissed immediately. His behavior is unprofessional, unacceptable and is an embarrassment to the network. He's got to go or at the very least be suspended for some time. He needs to apologize publicly to the reporter.

36. I think the anchor needs to apologize to the Rev. Al Sharpton and beg forgiveness for his insensitivety in this situation

37. No. 7 (Posted at 8:50PM on Mar 10th 2008 by eddy) says, "Two typical liberal media jerks..They never think about what they are saying if it suits them..."
Poor eddy (sic). He's so stupid he sees this as having to do with liberal media. Obviously, he has never seen Bill O'Reilly (the luffa-using liar who berates a kidnapped child for not returning home, telling the world that the sexually abused boy who, by the way was threatened with death, must have "liked it") or John "White Rat" Gibson for ugly remarks he made regarding the death of Heath Ledger. Or Rush "Hophead" Limbaugh who made fun of Michael J. Fox's Parkinson-related tremors. eddy (sic), like these media whores whom I'm sure he adores, is a hopeless fool like his heroes....

38. It's obvious that Jim took his journalism lessons from Bill O'Reilly, also an arrogant bastard, broadcasting on the Fox network. Where did Jim learn his manners? From his local Kmart store? This is quite typical of the network from which it came. Bravo, Jim! You're such a credit to your profession. NOT ! !

39. The guy was a jerk but this was so funny. This has to make its way onto a sitcom somehow. This was just so funny. But yeah, a definite jerk... though you could tell the reporter really didn't want to deal with any of it in the first place so he didn't seem all that helpful.
"So what do you want now?"
I think the reporter already understood what he wanted but was just being difficult.

40. That T.V. commentator was way out of line. What a lack of professionalism.

41. The anchor should be disciplined for creating a hostile work environment on the air. What an unprofessional perfomance! de

42. This is nothing compare to what KEITH OLBERMAN does everday on MSNBC, He be little every person,He verbal abuse people, He insult people especially when he's talking about president Bush, and the way he does it, his body language, the tone of voice and the funny faces he does when he's doing those kind of insults
He thinks that he has the right to do it, he thinks that he is the smartest person in the world
He's the most unrespectful,unprofesional,undespicable anchor I've everseen.
HE SHOULD BE TAKING OFF THE AIR

43. Wow! That was hilarious! Childish but funny.

44. That was extremely unprofessional and I think that anchorman needs to be F-I-R-E-D! What an inferior new agency.

45. Good for you Jim!! The anchor didn't snipe first. He simply asked the reporter to get a follow up after the guy gave a fluff answer. The on-site reporter should have known to do that! Only after going back and forth did Jim lose his cool....and I am glad he did. He was trying to get help for the people in the apartment. The other guy stood there like dead weight! This is NY- we usually have better reporters! Thanks Jim for trying to help the people in that building!
