On-Air Snark-Fest
Good morning, New York! We love a good clash of personalities to start the day off right. Watch and marvel as the on-location reporter and anchor exchange personal barbs for the world to see. Bickering starts at 1:00.
Can We Just Say: Uncomfortable!

16. I simply cannot believe the nerve of the anchor man! This should be grounds for immediate dismissal. Those of us here in the metro Detroit area recall embarrassing barbs between Anchor Bill Bonds of wxyz channel 7 and then Mayor Coleman Young. Bill is an alcoholic, and after several on air "malfunctions" on his part was eventually asked to resign. Perhaps the anchor person in this report needs to do some traveling too! Outrageous!

17. The reporter in the studio was right and the reporter in the field filed a useless report of two people having a dispute. The reporters in the field should do their homework and file a complete report and not look to sensationalize the news with sound bites.
The people in the news are the news not the reporters who report the news. I would like to hear more in depth reporting from the events being reported on and not worRy about time alloted for the funny weatherman or Paris Hilton.
The landlord/tenant dispute could have taken a deeper persepective than two people with opposing points of view being held to some dumb standard of geting in as much "entertainment" as possible. Get another reporter out there and interview the landlord (representative) again and bring back the lady offering her time and thoughts.
DO OVER!

18. Holy crap you stooped to a new low ,pretending to look for story.THAT CLIP HAS TO BE ABOUT 5 YEARS OLD.You are trying to present it as if it just happened.Jim Ryan(studio)left Fox 5 and went to WCBS2 many years ago. He has since left that station and has not reappeared in the NYC area. The street reprter is Dick Oliver.

19. That was the rudest thing I've ever seen...that Anchor had the audacity to try and check the Reporter...what was wrong with him? Was he trying to grind a long buried axe?

20. That anchor should be fired. There was no reason for him to start with the reporter in the manner he did. There were a lot of things the reporter could have followed up with the young lady.....all he was wanting to know was if there was anything specific the anchor wanted him to ask. That anchorperson had no reason or right to act that way or say those things. On the other hand...if I had been the reporter...I would have not replied and let the anchorperson look like the ass that apparently he is.

21. I thought the anchor guy acted like a jerk. The reporter handled it the way I would expect anyone with half a spine to respond to that type of rude attack.

22. FYI, that is such an old clip, Jim Ryan has since retired, those two always went at it that way.. Just another clip taken out of context.

23. Wow! That was... so awkward. And yet, one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.

24. I feel as if the Anchor was totally right in this clip. As a reporter your supposed to get the whole story, all he got was to opinions with any re-direct. The just happend to notice the lack in motivation to turn a lame story into a good one! The reporter on site should've gone back to the tenant for her response to the landlord, and then back to the landlord for his response to the tenant! You gotta build up that story man! If it bleeds it leads!

26. So, Jim, what exactly did you want the reporter to ask? Your rudeness as a New York anchor is unacceptable. I think it's time you got some extra sleep in the morning and let someone else do your job.....permanently. You've been a jerk too many times.

28. How unprofessional!!! Unbelievable...I hope they both get suspended but most of all the anchor is out of line! They both should probably be retired. Grow up boys, especially you in the anchor chair!!!

29. A very rude anchorman. That was totally uncalled for. Rudeness is the small man's imitation of power.

30. This was Jim Ryan on New York's FOX affiliate. This is pretty old. Maybe 3 years or more. Both of these guys are long gone from this station. Jim Ryan was a bit of a control freak blowhard. To the jerk who made the comment about liberal media jerks, please note, this was the FOX affiliate in New York. How this flareup had anything to do to with being "liberal", I have no idea, but then I rarely do have any idea about what the Bill O'Reilly/Rush Limbaugh crowd rants about.
