Amazing job, ladies! About 150 women in high heels - at least three-and-a-half inches high and only .6 inches wide - ran in the 100-meter-long Stiletto Run 2008 down one of Amsterdam's most famous streets. And what a scene that makes. At stake was a 10,000 Euro prize -- to be used for shopping naturally. And incredibly, there were no injuries, though we imagine there were a few broken heels (and possibly some broken hearts for those missing out). Either way, don't try this at home, guys. Oh, and if you're interested: the winner, whom you see at the end, is Tamara Ruben, 25.

4. I would like to see that many men run that far in high heals. Now THAT would be fun to watch!

5. Wearing socks with high-heels looks like crap. Almost as stupid looking as sandals and socks. High heels are meant to look sexy and show off ankles and feet.

6. wait, running in heels that are SIX inches wide is NOT hard, i have had to do it with 3 inch wide heels, and that was easy to run in too. Don't be to suprised at what women can do for shopping money.

8. Love those heels. If I were only 1/2 my age I'd like to have tried it. Still wear them but running is not my sport today. Chris Burs you're probably right. What an uptight PC BS kluge we have become.

10. Absolutely hilarious!!! This would probably never happen in the politcally correct United States. Someone here would insist these women are all being victimised!
