Meet Alicia Guastaferro -- the 15-year-old princess of pageantry. She lives to compete in beauty contests, and her parents' lives and work revolve around her schedule. And if you are anything short of gorgeous, Alicia would pity you. Unless you leave a gift under the Christmas tree her parents keep for her all year long. Or do her homework. Then she might give you the honor to toast her bagel.

1. That girl's gonna blow her brains out by age 25. The world isn't Christmas every day. Her parents might think they're doing her a big favor by indulging her every whim, but they're crippling her as surely as if they'd cut off her hands and gouged out her eyes.

2. These parents are nuts.
Every child needs to know how hard people work to get what they want.
Also that not everyone can just ask and recieve.
She's not even that pretty to begin with just piles of caked on makeup.
i worked for my first car i work for everything i own my parents did off to help alot and offered to match me every dollar i earned for my first car when i was younger but i turned them down because i love the stuff i have more because i know how hard i worked for the the possessions i have which make it more meaningful to me.
Spoiled brats suck i had a choice to be spoiled, i chose not to and it made me a stronger and responsible person and that's what i'm gonna teach my daughter when she gets a little older.

5. And here it is America.... Yep, proof positive! We really are growing a bunch of Narcissists these days. This is what our future looks like, and it surely "ain't purty" folks! I wonder if that poor girl realizes that genetics plays a role in determining what she'll look like as an adult. Oops, probably not since she's being "dumbed down" by her own parents. Good thing to... mom and dad are rather unattractive themselves and by keeping their daughter ignorant, they are saving her from the future grief of being quite ordinary.(sic) Then again, I fail to see what's so great about her anyway. I say to her parents... throw caution to the wind. Slap some braces on that child, buy her a few good books, and get yourselves in to a parenting class... or 5! Maybe if you do these things, your daughter won't end up becoming somebody's crack whore later down the road.

7. One of these days, when she is just a bit older, and has to do something in the real world like.. oh I don't know.. get a job? She's not going to be able to because she has no skills whatsoever. Unless she somehow she lands a job in modeling, but shes not nearly good enough looking for that, so good luck there. I'm really curious as to how her parents were raised as children. Were they spoiled to the teeth like she was? Or were they so mistreated that they think they must repay for all the crap that happened to them? Wouldn't one of her teachers have seen this and now realized that she didn't do her own homework and took away her grades because of it? I would love to hear about how she gets kicked out of school because shes never done homework on her own.

8. My God in heaven...that girl is never going to be mature enough to make it in this world. There is no way. Right now, the only job position she'll probably get is as a trophy wife and we all know that rich men like to trade in for younger models every 10 years or so.
If her folks spoil her that much and they tint windows for a living, can you imagine if they were millionaires? Or even billionaires? Holy crud!

9. I saw the whole episode and both families present valid points...to a degree. Yes, looks does open doors for you but it's intelligence that keep those doors open. The 15 yr old can't even spell 'America'. Besides, one can only take a beautiful idiot for so long before looking for some real substance.

15. I really feel bad for her boyfriend. Thats if she will ever have one AHAHAAHAHAH. Life isnt all about makeup and a pretty pink dress.
