For months, Houston residents Diana and Oscar Mijares heard about behavior problems their daughter Megan was having in school -- problems she wasn't having at home. The concerned parents bought a tape recorder and hid it in the girl's 'High School Musical' backpack. Turns out, 4-year-old Megan isn't the problem ... it's her teacher, who was recorded saying things like "I'm going to be mean to you" and "Y'all are just stupid kids." Not surprisingly, the Mijares -- and other Houston-area parents -- are outraged, and are demanding that the teacher be dismissed.

106. No parent out there know's what a teacher has to put up with in this day and age.
It was totaly wrong what this teacher did. BUT here comes the BUT
todays kid's are the worst pampered human beeings on the face of the earth. American parent's are so permissive and stricly have NO life and live through there kid's and anything goes.
Sorry BRAT'S of America you have a stake in this to more than any teacher.

107. Teachers are mostly arrogant and full of themselves. They love the hours, the vacations, the pay. Who else gets paid as handsomely to work as few hours as they do?? Nurses work their arses off to get paid well. Cops work their arses off as well. Whatever YOU'RE doing, I'll bet you're not making what the teachers in your school district are making. (Assuming your school isn't full of gangbangers.)

108. I don't agree with the way she spoke to the children at all. She needs to be working in a boot camp with rejects not 4 years olds. Because of her, some of them kids may have to go to boot camp!

109. Please note the "teacher's" quote above: He doesn't have to do anything in his well-behaved classroom but "teach."
There, my friends, is the KEY! That is what teachers want to do, from preschool through high school. They want to "lecture," the students like a college classroom. You know, stand in the front and just talk. If the kid gets it or doesn't get it, WHO CARES? They are teaching (er. . . no, lecturing)to the top 10% of the class, whichever class that is, even 4 year-olds. They don't want to INTERACT with 30 slobbering little souls, help the slow, teach the middle group. Naw, they just want to stand in front of the kiddies and lecture away. You either get it or you don't. They don't care. (READ THE MESSAGE BOARDS TO SEE WHAT I MEAN - you're looking at the handiwork of the stars of the teaching profession.)
You don't believe me? ASK YOUR KIDS what the teacher does all day.

110. The word of GOD says the most fowl thing in our body is our tongue.I guess listening to this tape proves why the LORD says this.

111. I am a former teacher in an urban school district. I fully understand the frustration of this teacher -- kids today, even little ones, are nasty and disruptive. The most patient teacher can lose it. Sorry -- but my heart goes out to this teacher.
I'm glad you’re a former teacher. Kids that young are not nasty and disruptive. Texas teaching skills are nonexistent there was no skill in telling the kids they are stupid. frustrated or not. Maybe that Texas teacher was George Bush's teacher. I'm sure a nanny cam in your house to catch a babysitter abusing your kids is a trap. The parents should have just hit her with their car, or rented a big SUV then hit her. SHE AND YOU SHOULD NOT BE TEACHING if that is what you want to call it.

113. If parents think teaching is so easy, here are my keys. The class is yours. You wouldn't survive 10 minutes in a class of 30 kids like that. Each year teaching gets harder and harder for the teachers because parents keep pushing things too far. Teachers have to fear everything they do might bring them into court. I personally think parents should be required to do so much time in the classroom just like their children. Plus, no one should be given a child unless they have taken classes on parenting. Other countries are far more strict to children in the classroom and that is what is need in the US.

116. Mrs. Hunt needs therapy. She must be a teacher that is guilty of similar behavior. PLEASE. Surely she is part of the 'Silent Majority'

117.
I recall when the son of a Mexican immigrant friend of mine was having trouble in elementary school. Turned out the Dad told him he didn't have to listen to or obey a female teacher. Glad I am not a teacher in todays era of third world culture in the U.S.

118. I am also a teacher and found the teacher's words uncalled for (in most cases). Especially calling children stupid and singling them out. Any parent and slightly educated teacher should realize this only aggrivates the situation more and causes more acting out. I do have to admit though just today I told my class if they want to act like garbage that is what they will get from me. If they want to not listen, punch, wrestle, whatever, I threaten them with a sub. They hate when I am absent and they HATE, hate substitute teachers (our district has a poor selection). So the mean comment I can understand, but she shouldn't have used the word mean. Looking back on it today I wouldn't have said garbage. But you are thrown in a room with 20 7 year olds. No help. No breaks all day, it does get a bit much. i do work in the city as well. So i am not condoning her behavior. She should maybe work with middle or high schoolers, they would give her attitude right back!

119. Now, please, for the public good, find a teacher doing a good job and publicize him/her. Can you imagine the sorry state we would be in without public education. Many uncaring parents would have to take a role in their kids' education, like finding a school that would take them. Most private schools don't want your kids, you don't have the money, and I double the skills and patience to homeschool.

120. Kids are mean, nasty little thugs. They don't need to be coddled. As for 'stupid'? well society has them thinking it's cool to be a stupid thug. It's all those kids of hippies that couldn't even raise hell, much less a kid, that became republicans and made 'mean' and 'hate' something to admire. Another arguement for retro-active abortion.
