For months, Houston residents Diana and Oscar Mijares heard about behavior problems their daughter Megan was having in school -- problems she wasn't having at home. The concerned parents bought a tape recorder and hid it in the girl's 'High School Musical' backpack. Turns out, 4-year-old Megan isn't the problem ... it's her teacher, who was recorded saying things like "I'm going to be mean to you" and "Y'all are just stupid kids." Not surprisingly, the Mijares -- and other Houston-area parents -- are outraged, and are demanding that the teacher be dismissed.

661. First of all, let's get something straight...."kids" is the not proper term for children. Human beings have children, babies, younguns....not "kids".....To those who do not know what "kids" mean it is "goats". Children are not goats/kids so stop referring to them as such....OKAY, People?!?

662. TODAY IN KINDERGARTEN!!! PULEEZE!! THESE KIDS SUCK, FROM HERE TO THE 12TH GRADE, AND EXPECT US TO BACK THEM IN COLLEGE WITH MONEY. THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR ADULTS, AT ALL... MUCH LESS TEACHERS. THEY NEED THEIR LITTLE ASSES THRASHED WITH A GOOD LEATHER BELT, GOOD AND PROPER, JUST LIKE I DID BACK IN THE DAY. PARENTS TODAY NEED TO USE A GOOD BELT, TELL CPS TO F@#% OFF, GET A CLUE, DO NOT LET THEM TELL YOU HOW TO RAISE YOUR CHILDREN. BUST THEIR ASS WHEN NEEDED. BUT WE ALSO NEED TEACHERS FROM THE 60'S, 70'S AN 80'S. THEY WERE "GREAT" TEACHERS. PARENTS TODAY "SUCK BIG TIME", THEY WANT THE SCHOOL COPS TO HANDLE IT. YOU WANT SOMEONE TO BABYSIT FOR YOU WHILE YOU PLAY. PARENTS ITS TIME YOU TAKE CONTROL. KIDS DON'T WANT TO MIND YOUR RULES??? SEND THEM OFF AFTER BEATING THEIR ASSES. PARENTS TAKE NO SHIT FROM YOUR CHILDREN. BUT DON'T EXPECT LAW ENFORCEMENT TO HANDLE THIS CRAP FOR YOU. THEY ARE NOT BABYSITTERS. BUST THESE KIDS ASSES AS NEEDED. SHOW THEM YOU ARE THE PARENT. TOUGH LOVE, GET THE HELL OUT, WHAT EVER IT TAKES. BUT PARENTS REMEMBER, YOU HAD THESE CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE, YOUR LATE NIGHT, BEER DRINKING, PARTYING, BUMPING UGLIES OUT IN THE DARK, NO CLUE, WHAT YOU ARE DOING, MAKING BABIES, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE, DON'T EXPECT EVERYONE ELSE TO RAISE THEM FOR YOU, BECAUSE "WE" PARENTS, ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM. GET BIRTH CONTROL, TUBES TIED, VASECTOMY, WHAT EVER IT TAKES. DON'T WANT KIDS, "DON'T HAVE THEM""". IF YOU CAN'T RAISE THEM. DON'T EXPECT YOUR PARENTS OR GRANDPARENTS TOO.

663. While I can understand it is hard to be a teacher especially in these days....if you can't handle it without blowing up, and using words that cause damage forever. Then be honest with yourself that you weren't made for this, and quit before you become a contributer to the problems youself. As an teacher to kids that young...you are only probably their first teacher. To say they are stupid is saying something about yourself.
In the words of Pink Floyd....
"HEY! Teachers (just one in this case) Leave them kids alone"
This one for sure has laid a brink for these poor kids wall.
God bless all of the good teachers out there. You earn your pennies for sure!

664. Main Entry: 1kid
Function: noun
Pronunciation: 'kid
Etymology: Middle English kide, of Scandinavian origin; akin to Old Norse kith kid
1 a : a young goat b : a young individual of various animals related to the goat
2 a : the flesh, fur, or skin of a kid b : something made of kid
3 : a young person ; especially : CHILD -- often used as a generalized reference to one especially younger or less experienced
- kid·dish/'ki-dish/ adject
Frank...get over it, and find a hobby. We are permitted "general referances" in the land of free speech, (If you accept this as truth). why not be angry about them being called, "stupid" which is MUCH worse. God help you on your journey of not being so petty, which we truely hope you will venture to take.

665. Kids don't deserve abuse from anyone!
Why would you be a teacher if you obviously hate kids enough to abuse them?!
Take this teacher to court before I vomit with anger!

666. A tape recorder? Brilliant idea by a "stupid" and spiteful couple who have probably not stepped inside of a classroom since dropping out of the eighth grade. Wonderful example and precedent! Something else the teachers have to worry about now! Maybe teachers should make secret tape recordings of their students and play the tape back to the parents and administrators. A child can curse at, push, strike a teacher and commit a host of defiant acts during the course of a school day, without any accountability to themselves or their "parents," and receive nothing more than a slap on the wrist, if that, but a teacher, who out of emotional stress and frustration utters the word, "stupid" one time, is crucified at the hands of an extremely ignorant public who have absolutely no clue as to what a teacher must deal with every day. Try managing a class of 30 disrepectful, malicious and bellicose inner city public school children for one day before you pass judgment, otherwise, keep your assinine comments to yourselves.

667. Well I think the lesson to learn here is...search children when they come to class to make sure they don't have recorders before you are mean to them. I think that is a proverb from the bible actually.

If you feel that way about every child you need to find a different job! My two grandsons are on the honor roll and have NEVER talked back to their teachers or caused problems. How can people lump all children in one square peg? How were you when you went to school?

671. As a parent who helped out at school, I was told by a girl that a fifth grade teacher was mean and nobody liked her - that she would eat in class and tell them it was ok for her, but not for them. Another parent had a child in her class and she put her hands around his neck and kiddingly threatened to strangle him - sorry, unacceptable - and yes, he was a little different, not exactly a troublemaker but just different, almost on the autistic spectrum. She also would throw over kids's desks and make them clean it up "because they were messy". She went to the principal and then straight to the district when it wasn't handled.

672. Todd, my man, I quote you: "Try managing a class of 30 disrepectful, malicious and bellicose inner city public school children for one day before you pass judgment, otherwise, keep your assinine comments to yourselves."
First of all, Todd, old boy, the spelling of the word you used is "asinine" - not "assinine." As you are obviously a teacher, I think it is prudent to advise you of this error, so you will not make it in the future. Nothing undermines a teacher's authority quicker than the teacher exhibiting poor spelling.
Video cameras, my man. THAT is the answer to your problems in the classroom. We (as parents and American citizens) want to view these "30 disrespectful, bellicose, malicious inner city public school children" in the act of misbehaving. To support you, of course. We want to see what you as a teacher are up against.
Of course, we want to see YOU AS A TEACHER handling other issues as well. But more importantly, we want to watch you teaching, see your "style." You don't mind, do you? We all know how hard you work every day and we want to see you doing what you do best, attempting to teach these " . . . malicious, etc., etc., . . . school kids. . ."
Video cameras in the classroom. That's the answer. You agree, don't you, Todd?

673. Teachers like this slide by even though their peers and principals know there is a problem. It isn't that they've always been that way, but sometimes they've just been teaching too long. I have seen kindergarten teachers who have chaotic classes, and those who can handle 27-32 students with one hand behind their back. A teacher like this needs to hear themselves - I am sure she doesn't have a clue. I commend the parents on their actions - I would never have thought of sending a recorder and it is clear proof of the damage she is doing to her students, and gives the district the ammunition to ask her to retire early.

674. You can't lump all students together, but no, it is not the fifties or sixties anymore and some students are actually taught by their parents to be disrespectful, while others live in chaotic households and it's a wonder they get their homework done, much less back to school. Others have parents who expect good behavior and provide a stable home life... and I've talked to those who don't want to be like their parents and expect so much. My theory is you get what you expect from your kids... and they're better off if you expect more. But this teacher needs to retire, she's lost it.

675. Boy! You can sure tell the comments posted by teachers! There is no reason to ever talk lo a child in this manner. If a teacher overheard a parent talking to their own child this way they would severly criticize the parents. Talk to an employee in this manner and you've got a successful lawsuit. Adults love to lay the burden on the child don't they? But then it's always easier to blame the victim. And don't fool yourself it happens in private schools also, probably more. Our six grader and a fellow classmate has been treated in the very same manner by a middle aged teachers in a private school so often that the other students are seeking us out to complain about it. They too are impacted by the control by fear attitude of this "professional teacher". Then she announces to the world that he's ADHD, acting as if she is qualified to make such a diagnosis! Subsequent test shows that he is not. Complaining to the principal resulted in zero action, again. I'd be interested to hear comments from adults about how their lives were negatively effected, long term, because of a teacher of this sort in their past.
