For months, Houston residents Diana and Oscar Mijares heard about behavior problems their daughter Megan was having in school -- problems she wasn't having at home. The concerned parents bought a tape recorder and hid it in the girl's 'High School Musical' backpack. Turns out, 4-year-old Megan isn't the problem ... it's her teacher, who was recorded saying things like "I'm going to be mean to you" and "Y'all are just stupid kids." Not surprisingly, the Mijares -- and other Houston-area parents -- are outraged, and are demanding that the teacher be dismissed.

47. These words may be harsh for such youngsters. The only bad thing I heard was "You are all stupid." She implied that the kid who was out in the hall was "acting stupid" taking it to mean "playing dumb."
I love these parents saying "she's not fit for the classroom." 10 bucks says this "lady" has no yob....period.

49. It's occurances like this that make me so glad I made the choice to homeschool my kids. This is not the first time I have heard stories like this. It happens in just about every school out there. It's time for parents to wake up and take control of the things their kids are being taught. And we wonder why society is the way it is....well, here's part of it right here.

52. We had a teacher like this when I was in Highschool at Berry Alabama. They had our parents so baffeled they never belived us, until we were out of school. We have an English teacher Elaine Renfroe would scream shut up at us, and was very verbally abusive. We also had a football coach who was sleeping with the teenage girls. Of course they always looked the other way for him as well.

55. Kai... not all kids are disrespectful. The teacher has NO rights talking negative towards the kids. Especially 4 year olds. No wonder this system is going to the crapper. It's not the kids, it's the adults that shows an extreme lack of respect. Respect is never automatically given. Respect is EARNED!!! So what if the teacher gets frustrated. If kids gets frustrated it's straight to detention, medication, fights, etc etc. It's always negative. However, if a teacher gets frustrated, they feel they can do whatever they want. Stupid hypocrites. Oh wait... would that make me a hypocrite calling the teacher stupid? Who cares.

58. I cannot believe all the people who are saying "todays kids are so undisciplined" yadayada.. They obviously didn't pay attention to the article/video. That might be a consideration if the child involved were, say, 10 or better. THIS IS A FOUR YEAR OLD CHILD - who is in kindergarten!!
There is NO excuse for any teacher to be addressing a kindergartener like this. I applaud the parents for sending a recorder. We all certainly are capable and DO set up recordings for our infants in daycare situations, why shouldn't we send a tape recorder to the classroom? A student could well take a taperecorder to school for lectues. In this case, with unusual complaints/activity, especially if there's behavioral changes in the kid, those SMART PARENTS chose the non-invasive route to see if there was something going on that noone could see.
Power to them... and yes that teacher deserved to be removed from the classroom.
