For months, Houston residents Diana and Oscar Mijares heard about behavior problems their daughter Megan was having in school -- problems she wasn't having at home. The concerned parents bought a tape recorder and hid it in the girl's 'High School Musical' backpack. Turns out, 4-year-old Megan isn't the problem ... it's her teacher, who was recorded saying things like "I'm going to be mean to you" and "Y'all are just stupid kids." Not surprisingly, the Mijares -- and other Houston-area parents -- are outraged, and are demanding that the teacher be dismissed.

4. My daughter was subjected to the same thing when she was seven years old. The damaged was irreparable! Theses "teachers" need to be punished somehow, not just reassigned!

5. I applaud the parents for their actions and pray that the teacher is permanently removed from the classroom. It is traumatizing enought for young children to be separated from their parents, then to have to endure being abused and intimiated by the very authoritative figure at school that they should feel comfortable with and at liberty to confide in, their teacher.

6. I saw this story on TV news yesterday. Oh, yea, they're all such good kids at home. While I don't support the teacher using the word "stupid," I am a former teacher in an urban school district. I fully understand the frustration of this teacher -- kids today, even little ones, are nasty and disruptive. The most patient teacher can lose it. Sorry -- but my heart goes out to this teacher.

7. Last time I checked, it's illegal to record someone's conversation without their consent.

9. this is how the state abuses kids. then they tell you that you are required to drug them up. i think home-schooling is the dumbest thing i've ever heard of, but i'm beginning to understand its necessity.

10. parents always blame the teachers for thier mistakes why cant society see that teachers are the ones who take on the parents lack of respect and courage by taking on thier children and trying maybe to help them? this teacher should never use the word stupid but parents should realize just how much teachers have to put up with and do in this world. we are the light that guides your children we are the ones who should be payed millions not some baseball player. this story makes me sick but it also goes to show how fast parents will throw the blame on a teacher, did you ever stop to think why this teacher is so frustrated? no you didnt all you do is complain, parents these days are sad.

12. I applaud the teacher for having the courage to put those unruly children in their place! It's about time that someone taught these children how to behave.

14. OK, folks - let's get real. I'm not sticking up for this teacher - I heard the tape and it's uncalled for. You have to know she scared these little ones and that's just wrong. However, all of your "little angels" aren't always "little angels" away from you. You don't know how they act when away from you. Kids can push as far as they can push. And, the folks that say "my child would never......" - come on! Get real!!

15. I can't believe this, honestly, in kindergarten? kids just want to play, usually LOVE the K teacher. This tacher obviously picked the wrong profession. If my daughters had to listen to this in the public school system, I'd have a huge problem.
