Here's why your pristine Samsonite bag arrived at the baggage claim a little banged up the last time you passed through Vancouver -- this handler was either having a bad day, or he really dislikes his job. Regardless, he's taking it out on the bags, tossing them around carelessly. Hope you didn't pack anything fragile!

76. HAHAHA...Wow...he got a whole 10 packages unloaded in one entire minute. Ya think maybe they pay him TOO much for such an exquisite job performance? Notice how he looks right into the camera on occaision...Oh, I bet his Momma is SO Proud of her boy to show off such manliness and strength! What a moron with little self respect. Bet he's the first one to complain that he needs a raise for all the hard work he does...Looks like a typical Whiner like Mr. Price who works for the airlines. Uh, I probably make less than half of your salary and I am collage educated and I make the most of my life in work, leisure, etc... ya know something--even morons can do their best to "like" their life...really, you don't have to LOVE it--if you could just "Like it a little" you might exhibit a better attitude. IDIOTs like you should work as crash test dummies! I'd like to see you walk away from that; like the luggage you handle!

77. I don't see any problem! It's luggage and not fragile glass. What did you expect?
The man is working hard for a living!
If anyone has a problem, maybe they should go lift 100 bags weighing 50 pounds every 20 to 30 minutes all day long. He is a real super hero lifting over 10 tons a day!
Give all these guys a raise and get more durable luggage!

78. Gotta admit...doesn't look over the top to me either. The airline must be aware of how they throw the bags on the conveyor, not the *wall* placed on the right side of the conveyor to keep bags from falling over to the other side.

80. I guess I missed something! What did he do wrong? Those bags are heavy and you should not pack anything fragile. Can you imagine the efficiency of the system if the bag handlers carefully picked up each bag and placed them on the belt? We're talking major delays and injuries to the handlers. Ya'll just need to get over it who don't work in the industry.

81. i hope he lost his job.......There are a lot of people out there who would love to have a job and be grateful for employment. We should all start filing damage claims instead of putting up with this garbage.

82. are you really surprised, there is no telling what happen before this or maybe he wants to be fired, any time you have your property in others possesions you really can't trust something isn't going to happen, i would just suggest if you have anything of value to have it insured, and be careful with anything breakable

83. I just spent a week in shock trauma after a drunk driver front-ended me. The list of what isn't injured is shorter than the list of injuries. I look like a blueberry from all my bruising.
I'll stick with the drunk driver. I had a chance. Our luggage on the otherhand is doomed.

84. I agree that wheels and things may break being handled like that, but I don't see him doing anything less than his best. He is obviously too small to do that job. All the baggage handlers I've ever seen have been huge. This guy is probably doing his best, he just doesn't have the muscle. Or maybe he's at work with the flu. Tis the season, you know. Give him a break, he's a freakin baggage handler. How would you do it?

85. That was tame as to what I see everyday, I work at DFW Airport, and AA is horrible with luggage, it is a wonder any of it gets to any correct destination and not damaged

86. If you have ever been on a curise ship the luggage gets the same treatment It is terible the way the really throw the luggage. This guy was nothing to what I see the ship handlers doing.

87. You will be crazy if you think he's the only one doing this. Trust me most all of them do that same thing.

89. I've done that job for a living. 8 hours a day a couple hundred bags a flight most of which are 50 pounds and better of which you first are in the pit of a plane unloading in horrendous weather conditions (hot and cold)Having to throw the bag about 30 feet to the pit door just to get it off the plane Than its normally the same guy that unloded the plane that unloads in the baggage service area
That is normal unloading pracatices that I see. He is doing nothing wrong. I never understood why people buy expensive fancy bags to put in a greasy dirty pit of a plane that has about 10 other bags piled on top of there's and than don't understand how something broke. Read your baggage contract. Not responsible for fragile items. If you want your bag handled gently. Don't fly cause it's not gonna happen

90. People are delusional if they do not understand the mechanics of the airline industry. It's get the planes in....unloaded..and get them out. The quicker you turn, the more $ you make. It's just reality that all airlines are tightening their belts since 9/11. There is no way around it...it is what it is. Get over it!
