Here's why your pristine Samsonite bag arrived at the baggage claim a little banged up the last time you passed through Vancouver -- this handler was either having a bad day, or he really dislikes his job. Regardless, he's taking it out on the bags, tossing them around carelessly. Hope you didn't pack anything fragile!

361. And this is surprising how? They throw bags like this in front of you in Chicago all the time.

362. I honestly don't see the big deal. While he may not be handling the luggage with extreme care, he is not being excessively rough. These people handle thousands of bags a day! To wish him injured over people's crap is NUTS! It's just stuff you fools!

364. Maybe he had a back ache... goodness knows that job would give one aches. I dont think he was handling the bags any different than I would. Whats the job pay: a tad above MINIMUM WAGE??? And its probably part time so the handler doesnt get any insurance or benefits...
A fine job, me thinks.
.... to ANYONE who thinks he is better than anyone else.... Dont forget: YOUR SERVANT IS YOUR MASTER.

366. Not sure what he's doing to upset so many, if they placed each one "gingerly" on the conveyor the plane would never leave on time! I never check in anything that could break. I have to say, once our suitcase was damaged and Continental reimbursed us.

367. I see nothing unusual, I watch these guys from the plane window all the time..this is standard bag handling..right or wrong..best to buy an ugly, tough piece of Luggage as it will be thrown and thrown far, for sure

368. YOU THINK THAT GUY WAS BAD, I USE TO WORK FOR THE UPS IN SECAUCUS, NJ AS AN UNLOADER FOR 7 MONTHS AND YOU SHOULD SEE HOW THEY UNLOAD A TRUCK FULL OF PARCELS. MY FIRST TIME UNLOADING A TRUCK I HAD A TRAINER TEACHING ME HOW TO UNLOAD THE PARCEL FROM A TRUCK AND PLACE IT ONTO A CONVEYOR BELT. I SUPPOSE TO USE A SMALL STEP LADDER TO REACH TO THE TOP. HE TOLD ME IM WASTING TIME. HE SAID JUST STICK BOTH HANDS IN BETWEEN THE THE LAYERS OF THE PARCELS AND JUST PULL IT DOWN ONTO THE CONVEYOR BELT LIKE CHOPPING A TREE AND LET IT FALL TO THE GROUND. I TOLD THE TRAINER NO WONDER MY PARCELS ALWAYS COME TO MY HOUSE DAMAGED. THE TRAINER TOLD ME THAT'S WHY YOU SHOULD ORDER THINGS WITH INSURANCE. DONT YOU JUST LOVE AMERICA STYLE.

369. This is another example of making a mountain out of a molehill. [Add a little music to further implicate the person.] It looks like he's "using momentum" to move the bags rather than carry that weight and injure his back. He could have been in pain that day. Who knows the real story? I think the person who submitted this should transfer baggage for a day. It seems we love to look to find fault and catch people in the act and even exaggerate.

370. Obviously, this guy is not happy in what he does and is taking it out in his throwing and probable breaking of suitcase and contents of items thrown. No wonder everything is so mixed up on arrival and often broken or spilled all over!
He should be fired and there should be better supervisors who recognize when an employee has had enough of this type of work. Maybe some set up should be in place to vary duties for workers like this. He also put in more energy to throw them and, therefore, was showing his anger that way! Next time he takes it out on some employee or others there and maybe in a more serious way. Employers have to keep a safe watch on their employees re any agressive behaviour they exhibit to avoid greater violence!

373. On a trip to alaska, I had two Tumi leather bags (nice) I haven't used in awhile. They broke through the leather/plastic clasps that keep the garment bag. They are standard plastic clasps you see everywhere, that require your thumb and index finger to press in and the clasps unlock. I was so angry and the airport/airline could have cared less.
