Here's why your pristine Samsonite bag arrived at the baggage claim a little banged up the last time you passed through Vancouver -- this handler was either having a bad day, or he really dislikes his job. Regardless, he's taking it out on the bags, tossing them around carelessly. Hope you didn't pack anything fragile!

316. As to comment #7 why do people who change tires have to be cretins? I've been working in the tire business for over 5 years and everyone I've worked with are not cretins.

318. LAST YR SETTING ON THE RUNWAY IN ATLANTA, GA, US PASSENGERS WITTNESSED THE SAME THING. A WOMAN, BIG WOMAN, WAS THROWING THE BAGGAGE FROM ONE CART TO A NEXT. LIKE THEY WERE BASKETBALLS. THE STEWARDESS WAS OUTRAGED AS WERE US PASSENGERS. THEY DON'T CARE!!! ITS NOT THEIRS. WHAT A SHAME. HATE TO SEE HOW SHE TREATED HER DOG OR CHILDREN.

319. Go back to your glass houses. Well it seems that not to many have any
idea how fum it is to move some of your cheep junky bags that you put
your priceless things in. Buy a good bag Pack those thing in it so it
can take a drop from 10 feet or can have handle 350lbs on top of it
because your bag just may be at the bottom of the pile. Oh and keep
in mind that guy is getting paid less than the guy that did that job
ten years ago because you paid $90 to fly just about anywhere you
wanted to go.

320. Do you know how much the starting pay is for these guys? It isn't much, starting pay is around $9.00 an hour, they have to be outside in all kinds of conditions. Yeah, the guy was throwing the bags, so what? You aren't supposed to pack anythng fragile. Carry it on or ship it home.
I have seen my suitcase sit on the tarmac at London's Heathrow airport in the pouring rain for over an hour. I could see it out the window of the plane. Chalk it up to the travel experience. It sucks, but for what they get paid, I wouldn't run to get anyone's bag in a downpour and I certainly wouldn't be handling them with kid gloves either.

321. As a former ramp service agent (baggage handler) he could have been a little gentler, but when you have bags packed to their limit (heavy) sometimes the only thing you can do is toss them like that. You are also n a time crunch. The next plane you have to meet is only minutes away.
Like most everyone else has said, don't pack fragile items. I have pulled out bags that were soaked with wine because someone had put a wine bottle in their luggage.

322. That doesn't bother me, I'd be more upset if they showed him going through the bags. After doing a thousand bags I'm sure I would throw them too. I'm sure it's no different then any other unloading dock. I get packages that look as if they were dragged behind the truck. They should have the belt go right up to the door of the truck and then he'd just have to push them on.

323. because of this guy is why i do not use my expensive luggage when i fly. and if i have something breakable i don't check it. yes this guy should be fired but probably won't.

324. I hate to tell you this but that's the way it's done. You should expect your luggage is going to get tossed around. That's why good luggage costs a fortune and regular luggage doesn't last. And that poor guy makes $10/ hour.

325. I've never been on a flight that didn't have people treating my luggage like that. are they supposed to put it down within 2 ft of their arms? I thought southwest hired all ex-shot putters. (I dont know which airline the video is but it doesnt matter- all of them dont give a rats ass)

326. Wow. This is someone who never learned the meaning of respect. It's likely that the way he handles that luggage is the same way he does everything else in his life.

327. I suggest choosing an airline with a higher level of service like AirTran - no I don't work for them! - This industry is like any other - you have to hunt for companies that still take pride in their position in the market place and pay their staff well to do a great job - on the other hand this video could be an isolated event and the poor guy just found his wife cheating on him

328. i didn't see anything wrong. he those this for 8 hours a day he's probably out of energy i don't see anyone helping him either he should of had help..don't you have better things to worry about.

329. This is exactly why I always carry on my luggage. Whether it be for just overnight or two weeks, my luggage is with me the whole flight. I use just one carry-on, place it above my seat and don't have to worry about someone dropping it or throwing it around.

330. This bum should be fired and made to pay for the luggage that he damaged. What a sorry lowlife.
