Here's why your pristine Samsonite bag arrived at the baggage claim a little banged up the last time you passed through Vancouver -- this handler was either having a bad day, or he really dislikes his job. Regardless, he's taking it out on the bags, tossing them around carelessly. Hope you didn't pack anything fragile!

1. They must have already suspected him of doing this otherwise they wouldn't have been videotaping him. What a rotten person, I really hope people didn't get stuff broken. They should have security cameras in all baggage handling areas like this, it would probably help airlines keep the theft under control which would make them look better.

3. This doesn't surprise me at all. I once purchased an expensive hard-side piece of luggage. The first time I used it, I'm pretty sure that they drop the luggage from the plane as soon as the pilot announced we were making our descent. It was cracked, scuffed - completely busted up. The airline did nothing to reimburse.

4. I sure can understand that. I had a huge piece of luggage that was a gift, 2 years ago, it came back with the bottom torn off on one side, so no wheels,
you think that was fun to lug through the airport to my car? I hope they are being watched, too many bad incidents. I know it upset me, and I had to tell my son it was ruined, when they tried to fix it, they just used tape? Duh.

5. I don't see anything really over the top. The dummy is probably using more energy throwing the bags than just placing them on the conveyor. Thank GOD I don't have a job like that.

6. It looks like this time, an airline cannot do what it normally would in simular situations.......blame the damage or loss on TSA!

7. I'm glad I don't fly, because if some jerk ever handled my guitars like this, not only would I have his JOB, and top quality replacement guitars, i'd also find out who the handler was, and toss HIM around a little.......ok, a LOT !
Cretins like this should stick to changing tires.

8. Ring, Ring, Wake call folks. Industry insiders who deal with the airline and shipping industry's know this is how baggage and package handelers load and unload your property.

10. I was at Heathrow a few years ago, and there was luggage stuck underneath a cart being dragged from one place to another. What this guy is doing is pretty standard from what I have seen. Why is this a big deal? They handle thousands of bags a day, and if you have something breakable then don't check it.

11. I didn't see him mangle anything.
I didn't see him break anything.
I didn't see him do anything.
I don't get it.

12. Hey OrlandoFred - he is throwing the bags - and you don't see him doing anything wrong (duh). Open your eyes.

13. I hope this guy gets fired, if not I hope he rips his back out and ends up cripled for the rest of his life. Now I know who trashed my new luggage.

15. That doesn't suprise me at all. I've had so many peices of luggage get destroyed once I hand them off to the airline clerks. Wheels broken off, straps broken, fabric ripped.. it's ridiculous. I hope they take baggage handlers all over the country and fire any who are doing this.
