Shocking Sawyer
Well la-di-da to you! Watch as one-time Annie Hall Diane Keaton was busy buttering up -- and we mean buttering up! -- Diane Sawyer when all of a sudden she threw a wild 'F-bomb' into the foxhole that is the usually staid 'Good Morning America.' Listen as the crowd then lets out an audible 'shame-on-you' groan as their G-rated morning show was ruined.
Diane's New Motto: 'I do more cursing before 9 a.m. than most people do all day.'

166. Oh please. Like no one has ever heard that word before. Give me a break.
Lord, keep me away from people who are so ultra sensitive.

168. As for #185, don't worry...the Lord will protect you from me, and He won't want a whole lot to do with you, either. Can you really imagine Jesus using the word?

169. Well I don't think the F word is that big of a deal in the first place. I also find it funny how people who hate the F word and find it really bad or w/e always seem to be the ones joking around or saying the N word or Sp**. Yet those words of hate and prejudice seem not to mind them at all.

170. Another thing I'll add is that believe me if your child doesn't hear the word on tv then they'll hear it at school, in a song, on the streets, or when someone cuts you off on the highway... You know its true.

171. TV has become so sickening until I am EXTREMELY selective in what I watch. If the FCC or someone doesn't speak up about Diane Keaton's potty mouth, it looks like I'll have to find another news show to watch, too. EVERY American isn't foul-mouthed. EVERY American isn't immoral. EVERY American doesn't abuse the liberties that we've been given by subjecting others to our gutter lifestyles. EVERY American doesn't disregard the values that some people still hold in their hearts and in their homes. A very, small few of us still value things like faith, family, wholesome television and radio and the right to watch a news show that doesn't tolerate low-life language.
Nothing personal against Diane Keaton, but I do have something personal against the declining, moral fabric of our society and if that includes her, then it does! Our society, our world for that matter is facing an enormous crisis because people assume that their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, includes the right to infringe on the rights of another. It is no wonder that some other cultures and countries feel that Americans are ignorant...for the most part, I do, too.
Example: I pay good money to live in a better neighborhood and decent housing. The guy downstairs feels that because he pays a pretty penny to live here too, he has the right to pull up to the complex, with his stereo blasting at 12:00 midnight. He's too ignorant to realize that he could have stayed in the ghetto and the slums and did lived the same way, for a lot less. To have my sleep disturbed every night when I have to get very early (4:00a.m. to be at work by 6:00a.m.)each day, is a nightmare that I cannot describe. But the LAW states that while I have a right to EXPECT a peaceful living space, I am not ENTITLED to that right, therefore, I have no grounds to litigate against this neighbor, nor against the property owners. (Tell me that isn't warped!) I can't understand why Mr. Brainless doesn't just move to the ghetto where loud music and behavior that is inconsiderate of everyone else can be had for a heck of a lot less than what we're paying for the place where we live! (You can take some folk out of the ghetto but getting the ghetto out of THEM is a whole nother matter)!!
Diane Keaton is not the first person to swear on tv...I've caught some pretty, disgusting things "slipping" through on some shows, and nairy a peep was uttered. And because the average American (as you can see by the comments about Diane) has no conflict resolution skills other than cursing and fighting, behavior like Diane's are going to fester and destroy the rights of good, clean living, life-loving people, if we don't make our voices heard.
If Diane doesn't offer a real apology, she'll be on my black list for good. I'm already down to watching only Christian tv, the news and family movies and shows (and not Family Guy..the creators of that trash need to be flogged, or King of the Hill...that's pretty nauseating, too).
Hollywood makes mockery of family values thru cartoons like the Simpsons and King of the Hill and South Park and we sit up and laugh while our children are absorbing imagery that communicates to them what is acceptable behavior, vs. behavior that crosses the line. It is rare nowadays, to see respectable children...their views and values and concept of respect and disrespect, wholesome and abnormal are being shaped by the greed of Hollywood and the ignorance of many parents.
My family means EVERYTHING to me...they're there for me when the whole world turns it's back on me. And I REFUSE to sit by and laugh while Hollywood gets rich off of deteriorating everything that I hold precious and sacred in life. I intend to fight with everything in me to protect my beautiful great neices and nephews (and THEIR children), against the low, piggy living that this country enjoys under the guise of "entertainment," even if that means throwing the tv out. Enough is enough.

172. I don't know if you can say the F word in Arabic?
Posted at 5:52PM on Jan 16th 2008 by Pat
173. the way the "f" word was used here makes it funny and real...if she were saying "f" you or on the offense then it would be offensive...I don't like vulgarity but I'd much rather hear this real response from a funny woman than see all the other "stuff" TV allows all day and at any time.

174. lmao!!! both dianes are fabulous...i think that words are much less important than the meanings behind them...so she slipped and said a curse word while giving a compliment....she should be commended...in a world where women can be so catty and jealous of one another(espeially in showbiz), its refreshing to see one who is comfortable enough in her own skin to compliment another...and i agree, diane sawyer's beauty is soooo under rated...so kudos to both of them!

175. haha. I thought it was funny. The look on Diane Saywer's face, was great. Diane Keaton is only human like the rest of us, so she slipped up big deal. Just take it in stride... both of them did.

176. Iam tired of casual foul language. Walk through a mall or stand in a schoolyard and listen to children in K and first grade use the same terms. Every other word is the f word. It's like air pollution, or graffiti, or littered streets. We don't need it. Shock value---no--its gone. WAs it an accident--who thinks that. If she needs respect or a new image she needs to find a better way. I am not impressed.

177. Dosnt everyone say that on tv anyways whats the big deal about it?
Posted at 5:57PM on Jan 16th 2008 by Jonasbrosever
178. Actually, this is an example of how people think being a foul mouth is "Cool" and women today seem to be guilty of more of this then men
Women are supposed to be there to set the example for their kids, but instead they are showing kids how doing drugs is cool, and some parents also have sex in front of their kids.
Now no offense, but do you see these things as positive role models?
Diane Keaton has been a Man since the 1970's, except she was born with a woman's face and equipment.
She is supposed to set an example, and not be a foul mouthed joke!!
